Joan Lewis

JJoan A. Lewis was ordained on November 3, 2024, by the Northern Virginia Baptist Association.Elder Lewis serves as chair of Leadership Development (Christian Growth Studies for Leaders), oversee Discipleship/Evangelism Ministry, Intercessory Prayer, Hospitality, Culinary, Ushers, Singles Ministry.
Elder Joan Lewis began her spiritual journey at a young age, faithfully attending her family church and earnestly seeking a deeper knowledge and understanding of God. Her passion for spiritual growth led her to actively participate in Bible Study, Sunday School, Diaconate Training, and numerous leadership and ministerial courses. She deepened her theological foundation at The Independent Church of God Bible Institute, earning several certificates in ministry. In addition to her theological training, Elder Lewis studied Business Administration at Marymount University in Arlington, VA, and is currently working toward a Divinity degree.
In 2021, under Divine direction and with the full support of her pastor, Elder Lewis accepted the call to serve as the Ministerial Alliance at Perfecting Strength Church in Prince Frederick, MD. For nearly two years, she faithfully supported the pastor and congregation by: Leading programs and services, nurturing the spiritual growth of ministerial staff and preparing servant-leaders to boldly and faithfully proclaim God’s Word
Her Christ-centered approach is marked by intentionality, spiritual integrity, and a commitment to building strong relationships within the church body and the throughout the community. Guided by the Father, grounded in Scripture, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Elder Joan Lewis is deeply committed to creating an environment where every leader can thrive spiritually and serve purposefully—without compromise. Her life and ministry reflect: an unwavering devotion to God, a passion for developing others, and a steadfast pursuit of unity in the Body of Christ.
Jonathan Martin Sr.

Jonathan Martin Sr. serves as an Elder and is assigned to oversee Christian Development and Education Ministry (Christian Education, NMF Bible Study, Sunday School, Library), whose aim is to equip every believer to become a faithful and effective servant of God and HIs Word, as inspired by Matthew 28:19 and 2 Timothy 2:15.
Elder Martin Sr. answered his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on March 10, 2019, at Grace First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX, and received his Ministerial License on June 26, 2022. He was ordained on November 3, 2024 by the Northern Virginia Baptist Association. With over 20 years of Christian experience and five years in ministry, Elder Martin is passionate about serving God, the community, discipleship training, and Christian education. He has ministered in California, Louisiana, and Texas, serving as an Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Minister.
Originally from Oakland, CA, and raised in Monroe, LA, Elder Martin is married to Rosetta, and they have two children, Kaylia and Jonathan Jr. His ministry is driven by a commitment to Biblical teaching and the transformative power of faith. He is actively involved in Sunday School, aiming to perfect the saints, and enjoys volunteering at church to fellowship with his church family. In his spare time, Elder Martin enjoys reading, motorcycling, and spending time with his family. He believes in fostering a welcoming and inclusive church environment where everyone is encouraged to grow in their faith.
Gordon Neal

Elder Gordon Neal currently co-serves, welcoming and facilitating the Family Life & New Members sessions, (Outreach – Community Day, 501c3, VBS, Tiny Acorns, June Awards).
Elder Neal surrendered his will to the Lord and accepted the call to ministry in 2021 under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Spurlock and was recently ordained under the leadership of Interim Pastor, Aaron James.
He received his B.A. degree in History at American Public University and continued his education by obtaining his Master of Arts degree in Christian Education at Grand Canyon University. Gordon proudly served his country four years in the United Marine Corps. Gordon currently works inside the Loudoun County Public School system where he serves as Head Coach for the Rock Ridge High School, Varsity Girls Basketball and Tennis Teams. He has had the honor of taking the girl’s double tennis team to state competitions during their 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Elder Neal is married to his lovely wife (Minister), LaRissa. They are the proud parents of children, Spencer, Ravyn and two grandchildren. When he is not studying the written Word of God, Gordon can be found enjoying electric football and reading.

Ministry Robert Reid serves as an Assistant to the Pastor. He and Minister Jesse Smith co-chair (Funeral Planning, and provide Sick and Shut in/Bereavement Support)
With Deacon Brad Coleman, Diaconate Co Chair, they support Pastoral Care & Counseling Ministry.
