Diaconate Ministry
The OGBC Deacons, along with our Pastor, Deaconesses, and Ministers continue to actively minister to our members. We provide support to members that are sick and shut in and to those that have experienced the death of a family member. We stand ready to join our members for special celebrations. We have partnered with our Deaconess to establish a “DIaconate Family Ministry Plan”. The goal of the plan is to help church members develop and maintain a healthy relationship to the church, so they may grow in their faith and commitment. Trustee Ministry

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for correction, for reproof, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17)
The purpose of this ministry shall be to serve on a humanitarian basis to assist the sick and/or injured; to give urgent necessary first aid, nursing care and to impart general information on problems of health that will help Christians to understand the relation between spiritual and physical well being; and to supply whatever preventions are needed.
This ministry urgently needs volunteers to serve and to assist in the event of sickness or injury to parishioners during church services or any other activities on church property. The nature of the event will determine a 911 call for assistance.

Trustee Mission Statement & Goals:
- The Oak Grove Trustee Ministry will work together with the Church body to serve the needs of the church by managing the church”s financial affairs, protecting it’s resources and attending to its business matters.

- To exercise prudence and wisdom in the use of the Church’s resources
- To set the functuioanlty, safety and security of the church building during regular and scheduled inspections of its physical structure and properties
- To maintain the Church building as a pleasing, physical environment that is always ready and comfortable for worship
- to evaluate decisions and actions made by the Trustee Ministry to determine practices
- To add technology and other enhancements to advance Church operations, services and outreach activities
We are called to be doorkeepers of the house of the Lord and to prayerfully promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will be warmly welcomed and seated comfortably. We also ensure that we meet the needs of the congregation and strive to keep distractions to a minimum.
