This will be a FREE distribution of fresh produce right from the front parking lot of our church building. SAVE THE DATE! Oak Grove Baptist Church (OGBC) is hosting a Community Day and Health Fair on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. OGBC is looking forward to fellowship and fun with everyone. There will be food and activities for all. We’ll also highlight various Ministries; share health-related resources; provide onsite shredding services; and host a Back-to-School drive and more. Planning for OGBC FY 2024 Budget has begun. All members of the Budget Ministry and Trustee Ministry are encouraged to attend 2024 Church Budgeting Protocols & Preparations offered on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 12:00 Noon and 6:00 pm as part of the Baptist General Convention of Virginia Ministry Training Track. This training will help and support us as we develop the FY 2024 OGBC Budget. See registration details under Bulletin Board as well as on one of the attachments.
Church Use. Lluvias de Gracia will be having an event at OGBC on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. OGBC Ministries should avoid scheduling events at the church during this time.
Church Cleanout. The OGBC Trustee Ministry encourages individuals as well as ministries to take time to identify items that need to be kept and those that can be trashed by November 1, 2023. Any personal items that individuals would like to retain should also be gathered by the time. Stay tuned for an announcement of a specific date for an end of the year clean up. Let’s make sure that our facility provides an opportunity for a peaceful worship experience. Let Us Come Into His Presence With thanksgiving. Join us for Thanksgiving Service on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 7:00 pm. Our guest preacher will be one of our own sons, Pastor George M. Mink. He will be joined by members of Second Mount Olive Baptist Church, Hamilton, VA. We will also be joined by Pastor Eugene Pearson and the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Aldie, VA church family.
